Hey guys, is anyone on here, near saskatoon, that is a journeyman welder? I have to do a bit of welding on my trailer and i dont have a stick welder out here.
I thought I would ask here before taking into Central Repair to get it fixed.
My dad ain't a journey but he can weld pretty damn good, has built 10-15 trailiors in his life and alot of other hit around the farm (front end loaders etc.), neighbors have contracted his welding service before, but since you want a paper with that guess I can't help ya out.
I`d buy my own welder if I didn`t have one, there`s no way around that.
The first time in a welding shop (probably $90 + an hour) your welder will be paid for!
A friend of mine lives out your, he`s fairly reasonable with his rates and he`s done all types of commercial welding for about thirty years now, pm if your interested.
Well i guess I dont NEED a journeyman, someone that can do a good job would work too. Im more concerned about the penetration of the weld then how it looks, but its gonna have to pass safety too. Im not sure if it has to have a welders stamp to pass.
I would probably use your dad Ryan but by the time i rip the trailer out to colonsay and back it might not be worth it anymore haha.
I would buy my own welder but i dont have a shop yet anyways. When i get a shop then for sure im gonna get one.
Morris you can pm your friends info if you dont mind, thanks.
You don`t need a shop to have a welder, just be sure to keep it covered and out of the weather.
If your interested pm me for Wallis`s phone number, I`m sure he`s fairly close to you and he`s a genuine all around great guy!
I need to have a place to plug a welder into and store it, and right now the ol garden shed is pretty full. I wouldnt do a temporary 240 welder plug on my place either. I would wanna do it kinda away from the house.
I actually got a appointment today for next week to get it fixed. If that doesnt pan out I will get your buds info.
