i am looking to buy a set of long tube headers. i am looking at the ceramic coated pacesetters. anyone know of a good site to buy them off of?? also i am going to buy the copper gaskets for the install and i was wondering about the o2 sensors. will i have to buy extentions or can i extend them myself?? does anyone have any other advice ot brands i should look into??
If it were me, I would go for a set of smog legal JBAs, Pacesetter has some quality issues. I have a set of Pacesetter which I haven't installed, and was disappointed by the rough edges and poor quality paint.
I am not showing that anyone makes long tube headers for an '07 F-150. Which makes sense that they wouldn't, since these vehicles have a lot of smog equipment, and after the recent rash of lawsuits filed against the makers of these headers, they are going to make their parts smog legal on all new applications.
I would go for the Gibson or JBA headers from Summit. If you really want long tubes, you will have to find someone who makes custom ones and has a mandrel bender. If you go with smog legal, you will have all the EGR fitting in the correct locations, plus the O2 sensors will be correct as well.
