Oil leak around the turbo seals

I recently posted on here how my truck wasnt cranking , and found out it was from being low on oil because of an recently discovered oil leak. I took my truck to the Ford dealer and there mechanic said looked like rear main and then they had manager look at it and he is saying that my seals around my turbo are leaking. They are saying it will cost $785.00 to fix. Does anyone have any advice on me changing this myself? Money doesnt grow on trees where I am from and I am not afraid to get my hands dirty. Please Help.

I had to click edit then go advance then it worked. I tried a few times in just the edit screen but once I went to the go advanced screen, it worked.

Thanks Ron, I guess I will figure all this out in time for them to change it again.

Rbaker did you just know someone that would help you out. Do you think it is to tough for me to change myself?? If it is I will call around and see if I can find someone to do it in that ballpark price.

I changed mine. Time consuming, but not too bad. The worst part is the C clip on the ebpv. It is on the very back and you pretty much just feel for it. The exhaust clamps may be stuck, but just take a hammer and punch and lightly tap, they will break free.

If you are planing on doing some of the power mods, it would be a good idea to do it now. If you don't plan on getting something like a DP-TUNER then the stock wheel is better to have as long as it is in good shape.

Oh yea that would be great. I think I am going to attempt fixing this leak myself. If I can save myself $500.00 then I really have no choice. Thanks for the link Rick, that will help out tremendously.

Reps to you for DIY. Do it yourself. I will do mine myself also, once I get all the parts rounded up I am about to change.
