i was pull ing camper this weekend. some long pulls i got to 1300 what is too much and what temp want hurt it at all. i was running 1000 most of the time. can i run it here all day

1300 for a short time is ok, 1000 should be just fine all day.

I pull some serious mountain passes here in Colorado but I will gear down and keep the EGT's under 1250 if at all possible. Some of the passes I take are 5-6 mile climbs but just keep a steady speed. I usually can keep it out of O/D and maintain a good speed (50-55MPH) and RPM (2000-2300) when climbing. If I do sneak over that red-line, only for a few seconds.

like chris said. i know when people are racing or sled pulling the egt's get over that danger zone of 1300*, but that is for a very short time.

Forgot to mention, I have set up my truck with towing mods to keep EGT's in check, from the Ford AIS intake filter to the 4" exhaust. I notice that climbing the same passes with these upgrades have dropped my EGT's a good 100 - 150 degrees with the same driving habits. Now that I think of it, I haven't seen temps over 1200 for a while... You might want to investigate into these mods if you don't have them already.
