For most years, both the damper and flywheels were balanced different for the two motors. Up until sometime in the early '80's, the Windsor had a 28oz imbalance on the damper and flywheel, and the 302 had a 50 oz imbalance. I don't know when in the '80's that they changed but afterwards both motors had the 28oz imbalance on the damper and flywheels.
Using the wrong imbalance on the flywheel or damper will definitely take out your mains. (past experience using a 302 flywheel on my 351w and almost again using a 351w damper on my freashly rebuilt 302 ).
