Hey RCrawler, got one for you...
.(ie, good BOS) So where would I find the #'s on this beast? The g-b door he gave me(it's missing the dash) has a vin: U15GLL66713, second line: 092(wb) 1(col) U150(mod) 9U(bod) C(trans) 03(axl) Line 3 has a 76 stamped over D.S.O. So what is it. According to eBay it was supposed to be a '69. I really don't care what year the whole mess ends up to be, I just need a paper trail.I don't want to throw $$$ at it until I know I have a proper one! Thanx!
U15- U-100 Bronco wagon
G- 302 V8
L- Michigan plant
L66713- May 1971 build date
Data plate
WB, 92- 92" wheelbase
Color, 1- Calypso Coral
Model, U150- Bronco wagon, non HD
Body, 9U- I don't show anything for U, but 9 is a standard prefix for that model

DSO, 76- Domestic Special Order comes up as Denver region
The most common place to find the VIN number on the frame is behind the pass side coil tower/ shock tower on top or on the outside of the frame. I have seen them stamped on other places. Mostly on top of the frames. Check crossmembers...

Jason
