well i need to take it for its E-test and i have been playing with it for the past week and i duno if my altrator is working cause my voltage meter is on between 12 and 14 with no load and you put on like the ac and it drops to like 8volts so i duno whats up with it, but when you rev it it some times moves up a few voltages...ive just about had it with this truck lol
well im guna drive it to work tomarow and jsut hope i dont get pulled over.....i have a spare batt in the box incase the altantor dont work ill jsut switch it out and put it on charge when im at work
Take a good look at the wiring harness at the back of the alternator. On my 88, Ford used to small a gage of wire for one of the wires at the alternator and the wire would overheat. Eventually the insulation melted and some wires shorted together.
