76 high boy
I have a 76 high boy and was thinking of going to propane if it would be smog exemt in ca. the truck is 95% offroad 5% onroad with the propane I would not stall out on a hill like gas. but I need it to be registered to park if front of my house for time to time. the truck is on the road about 30miles a year.
can it be done in Ca. I would take all the gas tanks off so it would be propane only.

You have an interesting idea. I might ask if you are looking for an emissions exemption because you might have a big inch engine that does not pass emissions. This would be a decent way around it. Most of us here in So. Ca just find a vehicle that is at least one year older than yours. Perhaps the cut-off will move, and your vehicle will soon become exempt.

The e-mail is posted at the bottom. Perhaps this individual can help. I do know that these upgrades require specific manufacturers, but it is limited to late model vehicles. Perhaps there is room for an early one.
