Your 400 has the same bellhousing and motor mounts as a 460. So anything that was offered for a 460 should fit. The only one you are going to find is the zf 5speed. It's a good tranny, but you may have to convert your clutch to hydraulic to use it. The bellhousing and the tranny are one piece, and the bell is setup for the hydraulic clutch.

In a single, solitary word, no. The bellhousing on the ZF5 is integrated onto the tranny and the bolt pattern is specific to the diesel.
