cracked radiator
i got a 04 f-250 and i just found today that the radiator is cracked on top in the plastic. who makes some decent radiators. i have a aftermarket warranty plan on it but i dont think its covered.(what a surprise) i just priced one at advanced auto and it was $500. i thought that was a little much but idk. any help would be great! thanks

thanks. would have any kind of a guess on how much it would cost to get a new tank? i have been working long hours and dont have time to call around right now so i am just trying to figure out the best way to go here. thanks!

ok thanks for the info. i called some radiator places around me and they said they can not be repaired and i have to buy a new one.? whatever so i just ordered one from them and it was 289. which isnt bad i dont think. thanks for the help. also is there any thing special i should know about putting the antifreeze back in? like additives or color or anything? thanks!

ok thank you! my dad is a truck driver and he just said that his big trucks need additive in it to keep it from pitting and corroding the cylinder walls and stuff so i just wanted to make sure. thanks again!
