engine swap
I did the swap a year ago in an 87. I used the wiring harness and emissions equipment off of the original 5.0. You will want to use the accessory mounting brackets off of the 5.8, as well as the 351 exhaust. I have been running mine on the original 5.0 computer but it runs a little rich sometimes but actually works pretty good. The rest of the stuff is just plug & play.
