determining tansmission

how do you tell if a tranny is a C6 or AOD, it was out of a '86 bronco auto with a 351?

My 86 351 has a c-6 if that helps.

AOD shifter reads:
P-R-N-@-D-1

@ is the overdive selection.

..And the 351 never had the AOD behind it, only the 302. The 86 351W had the C6 as teh auto behind it.
