help tail lights don't work

I just installed some of those polished stainless steel frd script tail lights; the park lights and blinkers will not work together. I can get the brake/signal lights to work but no the park lights. I do have the double filament bulbs. I took out the bulb and used a test light on the posts and have power on the blinker & park light posts. Has anyone else had this situation if so how did you fix it.
Thanks in advance

Hi Jaye,

Smoke and mirrors, that;s electricity for you.

Believe it on not, this is the third of forth thread I've seen on this in the LAST MONTH!

I'm certain I can get this streightened out for you but I need to know a few things first:

Your profile says you are working on a 1955 F-100, Yes?

Also, have you converted it to 12 Volt?

Are you using the after market (clamps onto the steering column) turn signal switch?

Did the lights work correctly before you installed the new tail lights?

In about 50% of these cases the two wires going into the tail lights is juxtaposed (flip-flopped) Other wise one of the wires from the signal switch is in the wrong position.

Write back to me on this thread and let me know the answers to these questions and we can fix you problem so everyone can look at the trouble shooting for this. It's pretty easy.

I don't know how to put the link here for the other thread we just did this on, but I'll post this and then find that one and refere you to it as well.

"over...."

Hi again Jaye,

Wiring I can do but sometimes figuring out how to do stuff on FTE just blows me away. Anyway, I think I copied the link for the other forum with the same problem if youwant to look at it. Its:

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/7...n-my-56-a.html

But get back to me and we can fix this for you.

I just spent hours tracing tail light wires and checking grounds...well what it boiled down to was the contacts didn't line up with the buld contacts once thay were locked in place I just trimmed some off the plastic piece & lights!
