Overhead Console, Reading -40 F ??????

My overhead console is reading -40 F on the temperature, It's 74 here today, is there a sensor for this?

Yes, look where you would do the zoodad mod. If you look through the grill on the drivers side of the rad you will see it there.

Try to reset the console by pulling the fuse. If that don't work, check the wiring for the sensor for any nicks or chaffing that could cause problems. Last thing would be to replace the sensor.

Pulled fuse, no dice, come to find prior owner cut the wires to the sensor up front, hooked wires back up, works like a charm!

I can't think of any good reason to cut those wires. I wonder what else the PO screwed up.
