Fuel pressure regulator??

Back again. 85 302 EFI. When it finally started ran terrible, blew lots of black smoke, and wouldn't idle. Dipstick shows gas in oil.

When the problem began it was idleing fine, then statred running rough, smoking, etc.

Would a fuel regulator cause this?

It will not start now but the smell of gas is incredible.

85 f150 302 efi...replaced fuel pressure regulator, changed oil (full of gas), changed plugs, started first try. Ran rough and smoked alot. Let it run for 15 - 20 minutes and it started running rough again. Dipstick shows more gas in oil just not as bad. Going to change oil again. My question, is this normal after having a faulty regulator?

Forgive me, but I am unsure what you mean, gas twice? I am generally clueless about mechanical repairs, but I am also too poor to hire a mechanic. Do you know how to remedy the problem?
