what knid of locker to order for d60 rear?
im moving up to big bear this winter and id like to get my rear locked up before then.
how many splines are the ford d60 axles. and the rear in my truck (82 250) is the semi floating? ive seen different units on ebay that say theyre for the full floaters, will these not work? have any of you locked your 60s up? what did you use? i have been toying with the idea of a spool or even welding the spider gears, but i might have to daily drive this soon so probably not.

I'd go with the Detroit locker, but there are a lot of other good ones.
No telling which axles you have without pulling them. They could be anything from IIRC 16 -30 spline.
Full floaters are more popular for heavy wheeling. That's why you see more units available for them, but you should be able to find one for your semi-floater. What's nice about a FF is when you break an axle. You can still drive it home. Something you cannot do with a semi-floater.
If it's mainly a DD, it would be cheaper to find a factory D60 FF or Sterling 10.25 with a factory locker in it already. I just bought a Sterling 10.25 FF with locked 4.10's and heavy duty 1 ton springs ready to bolt in for $200.
I'll be putting it in this weekend.
