I had to replace the oil pan and I have tried to seal it three times and the rear still seems to be leaking. The first time I used the Ford sealant and it leaked. The second time I used permatex ultra black. I also used it this time. I don't think it is the main because the flywheel isn't wet. It seems to start at the top of the pan on the right side and is wet down to the center. If anything we put too much on. I put it on the block then on the pan. We bolted it up but not tight. After about an hour I torqued it down. It squashed out everywhere. I do park on about a 30 degree incline at work. If it sits level or down hit it isn't as bad or sometimes not at all. It is a stick shifter also.I wiped it clean with acetone before applying. We have been mechanics for years and have never had this much trouble. I don't think we have ever had an oilpan leak before. Thanks for any help.
Sorry. No I did not pull the engine. I know you are supposed to but I can't layit up that long and I can't evacuate the A/C System. I cut the cross member out.

thats probably the reason why it still leaks ya know!i guess the way u did it really doesnt work! sorry! do u need a loaner truck so u can pull your engine?
Yeah. No loaner. I would have been P.O.ed if I would have I did pull it the first time. The sealant hardened in some spots but not in others. Would have sucked to put it back and found it leaking. LOL
