Safe RPM
What do you guys think would be an ok engine speed for a 351 W. I just got this truck and will be doing some towing on the highway. It has a C-6 Trans in it. Seems like it might be geared kinda low.

if you push it harder than 2500 RPM, your gas mialge will be horrible, but the motor is happy to pull up to about 3000-3100 RPM, with a pretty bad fuel consequence. Another big fuel concern is aerodynamics, becuase wind drag increases exponetially, not linearly, as speed increases, so do everything you can to get the wind at your back, and get streamlined.
