keep blowing fuses

keep blowing fuses
got a '95 f-250 5.8 4x4 that keeps blowing the top left fuse (I can't recall the number off hand) and the tail lights (not brake lights) and instrument panel go out. I replaced the relay about a month ago because of this problem, and it worked for a while. Now I can't plug in a new fuse for more than a couple seconds before it blows. one of the codes said something about the voltage regulator. Isn't this on the alternator on this year of truck? can it be replaced without swapping alternators? Any other ideas?

if replacing the relay fixed it before... try it again... maybe you got a faulty relay that wore out fast. as for the voltage regulator... I dont think it is part of the alt... but i could be mistaken...

have a trailer plug? I'd wager you have a short, and those splices are the most likely starting point.
I would have your charging system tested, see whats the out put is and look at the regulator from there, but I kind of doubt if thats whats blowing your fuse.
