So long, farewell...

I have been a little scarce with my posts lately due to working my butt off to pay for fuel (37 miles one way to work.) Well, the time has come to part with my powerstroke. I simply cannot afford the fuel anymore. It's been great chatting on here with everyone. Super thanks to everyone who has helped during those rare occasions when a powerstroke fails you. I'm sure I'll pop back in now and again to through my two cents in on a topic, might even be a bit helpful. Give me a couple years (like after we finally buy a house) and I'll be back doin a search like rubberduck did a while back for a good original powerstroke to buy.

i hate to hear that, i hope i never am forced to sell my psd, although even with fuel prices the way they are it cost me just as much to drive my half ton Chevy i sold a while back as it does my psd, cost a little more on the interstate, but cheaper around town and alot cheaper with a heavy load and i tow several 1000 miles a month

I know it's a tough decision, one that I'm considering also. $4.00 or more a gal. is just ridiculous and I've cut back almost half of what I usually drive my truck weekly. I wish I could just find someone that sold bio clsoe to me for $2-$3 a gal. and I'd buy it.

well i got the family an escape in place of the truck because the truck was our dependable vehicle. Now I plan on getting an older ranger (yeah, ford all the way) so I can at least still keep some of my manhood . so if any of you guys get over that way on FTE...I hope to see ya there.

the higher fuel prices get the slower i drive, i used to drive 80 everywhere i went, then i slowed down to 75 then 73 now i find myself running 70 more often and its always been 65 whenever money is real tight. if it keeps going up ill be going 55 everywhere i go. iv noticed alot of people are doing the same, speed limit is 75 on the interstate here, i used to run 80 and still get passed like i was standing still, now i run 70 and people pass me about the same as when i used to do 80. i was running way behind today and cranked er up to 80 and i was flying by everyone. no one passed me.

keep driving slower laugh at everyone that passes you keep the same amount of money in your pocket, eventually somethings gotta give and it aint gonna be me.
