Bodystyle Question?

I have a 2002 F-350 Long bed and need to replace the bed on it. I found a 2008 f-250 bed, but am unsure if this year is compatible with my truck. Any help will be appreciated.

I'm not for sure but I would think you could make it work. There has been members that have changed there tailgate to the 08 and the body line were the same. They just had to modify the spring asist. Pull you truck next to an 08 and see if it look the same. Around the back of the cab! If it mounts a bit different then you may have to fab something there but souldn't be a problem. It may even be a direct bolt up!

I called the dealership and they said its interchange was from 99-07......but they said they were unsure if 08 would fit. I'd like a direct bolt on.

Yes, the beds will interchange from 99-08. The only difference on the 08 bed would be the tailgate mounts, but they are easily adaptable.

Thank you for the confirmation!!!! So the bolt holes will line up? And the body lines are all the same? The new one I'm getting has a tailgate with it, so does that mean I will not have to worry about the tailgate mounts? Thanks for all your help!

Should bolt right up, all you need to worry about is the paint color.

it bolts right on. i have a 08 bed on my 03. the only dif is the harness for the lights. you just have to swap the plug on the end. that is if you use the 08 taillights. if you use your taillights then you just need to use your harness
