vents plugged
I took my bed off today and seen that my vents for my diesel tanks are plugged with bolts. Are they suppose to be plugged or open?
I also unhooked my fuel gauge wire and got a jumper wire and jumped them over and the gauge went up. That means it is in my sending unit correct?

If you grounded your wires directly and your gage works, then yes your sending unit is bad.
What sending units do is vary the amount of ground just like a variable resister (potentiometer).

If it's actually got a bolt in it, then no. you need to get another vent cap, like the one that is pictured.

What I did was switch the vent hoses. Since I don't use my front tank(Cost to much!)
Is that why it liked to splash at me when I fill it up?

It's a possibility.
Also if I were you, I would fill both tanks, and run off of each tank in turn.
What I do is I run off my front tank to half a tank, then run the rear tank to half a tank and then fill it up.
This will keep the tanks from rusting, and collecting water, and you still are only using one tanks worth of fuel at a time. And in an emergency you have the fuel if you need it.
