Howdy y'all. I just wanted to drop by and say thanks for the how to's and help even when y'all didn't know you were helping me. From the article and list of suppliers for the broken rear leaf spring shackle mounts, to the info in replacing my auto locking hubs with manuals. I always come here first to feel out the problem and what is involved before tearing into it, and the info has been superb.
Y'all really know your stuff. And that is helping me keep my 94 F-150 on the road and safe. And now for the info for my 4x4 "Warhorse". 351 Windsor. "Touch Drive" 4x4. MSD ignition and wires pretty much stock except for emergency lighting & siren, warn manual locking hubs and slightly larger tires. She Isn't a rock crawler or some beauty queen but I do need her to bring hay to the horses and to get my butt to the scene of a emergency.
She is still running strong with 225k miles on the original motor. I have no leaks or smoke from that engine just a bit of a PS pump wine and the occasional squeak out of the serpentine belt.
So If you ever see a rusty green ford running hot down the Missouri back roads give us a wave we'll keep ya safe and sound.
I'd say you are doing all the right things if you have 225K on your 351. The only thing I would recommmend is the timing chain if you haven't replaced it.
