I've seen what is called a "test pipe" for the cat.. they remove the cat, put the "test pipe" on and scan etc., then put the cat. back...
Does anyone know where I can get or buy a test pipe ? It has the correct flange, bolts etc, just replaces the cat.. That way I figure if they were to look during inspection I could just put the cat back, but where I live I doubt anyone looks... Surely someone has to make these things or knows where I can find one...
My exhast is the stock 3.5 in .....the rest is in my sig...
Thanks and I'll be interested...
Sorry for not having any info up front, but when I threw the "test" pipe in, it was either clamped on, or welded on. You may need to look at your Cat to see how it connects, I dont believe you are going to see a Bolt patteren. Sorry man. Now, we also were able to go in and gut the cat's way back when as well.
The test pipe bolts in just like the cat.. It has the flange in front and three bolt pattern, uses the exhast clamps in the back where it hooks to the tail pipe.
