I should have my V-12 cummins on monday. I'm not really that excited, 1600 horsepower is something i'm pretty used to , just cause thats how i roll.
I am a little bit excited about seeing the truck with the 48" wheels on it, after the 5-ton axles that are being delivered on tuesday, with the 10 speed eaton fuller transmission, but not too excited.
A lot of people were saying to go with giant exhaust systems, and stacks and stuff, but I'm just not tacky like that, so I just ordered an "out the hood" style 16" single exhaust pipe, to help the gases escape the last of the four turbochargers also scheduled to arrive on monday.
Actually, if anything other than a phone bill arrives at my house, its probably someone elses.

Smart move!! I've got some mods still waiting at home for Nyx & some dedicated time, but that's an impressive list!!

Not trying to hijack...was thinking about the WW for some extra whistle...im all about noise!!!...worth it or not? its only 50$....will it ruin my stock turbo?
From what others that have said about the WW, yes, it will give more whistle. If you have the ATS housing the people who have put the WW in the ATS housing pulled it back out and put the stock wheel, bc the WW was too loud.
A solid two days of wrenching is a VERY optimistic, proactive, and positive estimate. I was swapping the stock turbo for a TN unit, as well as new ceramic pipes. Because of sezure and heat, I had to cut out my old uppies with a sawzall because I had rounded off two of the bolts to the collector. Wasn't a big deal because all those were parts were being replaced, but I wasted some time pondering my next move, too be sure. Side note, if you are doing the ATS housing, don't bother with the WW, unless you really want that extra whistle. the little boost gain you'll see by leaving the stock wheel in is worth not spending the extra time to install the other wheel.
I also ended up short of the proper boots to connect my Spearco Retro Intercooler, so I ordered boots and clamps overnight to try to get it all finished. The DP chip is the easiest part, just make sure the terminals Jody tells you to clean are good and REALLY clean. You won't be sorry if you spend a extra 5 minutes are insure each contact is clean on both sides.
All said, I spent a full three days off doing a new turbo, up-pipes, intercooler swap, chip install, and a auxillary tranny cooler install all at once. The gauges are not too bad if you understand basic vehicle electrical circuits. I'd budget 3 hours for a tranny temp, pyro, and boost gauge install, with beer sipping allowance and the occasional break to look up stuff here on FTE. Remember the measure twice, cut once philosophy. Enough of us have been down these roads that you can benefit from our success & failures. Enough of my preaching...
