Homebrew coolant filter
I'm full of questions lately(among other things)
I saw on another forum some 6.0 guys talking about a homebrew coolant filter system. I was wondering if anybody had done this or had any good info for the 7.3? Like where to install and what fittings would be needed? Thanks

I bought the filter, mount, and hose from my over-the-road truck parts supplier at work. Got the fittings from a hardware store. I've read, you can get the mount and filter from NAPA. But, I don't know the part numbers. You can see the installed unit in my gallery. I went with the ball valves (shortened the handles) for covenience of replacing the filter. There are other ways to mount it, but the plumbing is basically the same.

You might want to go look at Guzzle's bypass coolant install...it should point you towards what a person would need to homebrew one.
