FPR Shimming Help!

Ok so I have a 97 350 and i bought a BB and stuck it in the piece that holds the spring originally, but it didnt slide in, it just staid on the top snuggly in place. Is this how it is supposed to be or is the BB supposed to slide into the piece?

Thanks in advance..

The BB has to slide all the way down.
Did you check your fuel pressure first?

Ya i checked it right before i took it apart and the guage read about 38 psi. So im guessing that the parts store gave me the wrong size BB because there is no way that BB will slide into the piece.

Folks the BB that is inserted under the FPR spring is a:

BB GUN BB
OTHER BB's/Ball Bearings will just get you in trouble

If you get a ball bearing from the parts store get the next size down .. think its a 4/32 and that will slide down. Been there, done that.
