It's yours unless you back out, or if someone walks in and offers them 10 bucks more.

From the Oasis provided by the dealer

GENERAL VEHICLE INFORMATION:

(Related Claims)

VIN: 1FTSW31F43EA07343 Veh Line: T/F7 - F250HD/350/450/550 [99-08] Eng Serial No: 1971328
Model Year: 2003 Market Derived: F - FORD Body Shell: *
Veh Type: T Drive Code: T/E - 4 WHL L/H PART TIME DRIVE Engine: T/DS - NAVISTAR 7.3L OHV DI TC V8 DSL
Inv. Dealer: * Body Cab Style: T/BC -DOUBLE CAB (CREW CAB) Transmission: T/D8 - 4 SP AUTO 4R100 (DIESEL APPLI)

It had the recall work performed on the cam position sensor as well.

Yep, I'm pretty sure its a 7.3, I even looked at the engine.

I've driven this thing twice.

Also, all of the 6.0 diesels had a "P" in the VIN code in place of the F above.

Must have been a really late model 7.3 hence the 6.0 badges.

Absolutely.

Truth be told....We've already negotiated and both sides have agreed to a price. He's pulled the truck from the lot, had it detailed, and filled with diesel. Its in the back sitting. We're below the asking price by $3,000.

All of this was done by email-except the two test drives and the first initial lookie over.

Yeah, they could still sell it out from under me at this point. Criminy it can still happen while your in one office and another potential fish on the hook is in the next.

BTW Mark, just kidding on the jinx-but then you knew that already.....

Glad it's a 7.3. Someone must have changed the badges. I didn't realize that you had driven it. Of course you would have looked at the engine and known. I didn't mean to insinuate that you didn't know what you were doing. I have just seen on the internet where they say it's a 7.3 and it's really a 6.0 and vice versa. It looks like a great looking truck. I hope you get it. 47K that thing isn't even broken in yet.

That is one very sharp XL I wish the trucks at work looked that good . It looks to be a really sharp truck with low miles, the 6.0 badges could have just been put on there like I did on mine. If you could get that truck for 25K that would be a pretty good deal I hope it works out for you Jeff it looks like a done deal, atleast you got a dealer that will still give you a tank diesel that is a 200 dollar value .

Yes, it can happen! Prior to buying my 99, I was all lined up to buy a 97 F350 crew cab PSD with the 5 speed- I sniffed it out at a dealer right as it came out of detail. Drove it, looked it over, wheeled and dealed and agreed on a price with the dealer (this was where my folks live, 8 hours from home for me). Dealer couldn't get financing pushed through on a Saturday and I was leaving the next day. I told them I will get the financing lined up and come back the next weekend to pick it up... give me a few days to get things settled with my bank. "No problem" they say. I offer a check to hold it- "that's not necessary" they tell me, you're 1st in line. I called them about 4 times on Monday and everything was still gravy. Call Tuesday to tell them the bank is putting the $ in my account right as we speak... "Sorry we just sold it."
Needless to say, I'll never, EVER do business with that dealer and I make dang sure to tell everyone I know who still lives there not to do business there either. Farking money hungry bastages... some teenage punk probably offered them asking price for it (since daddy was buying) so they sold it out from under me.

Truck Home

Deal done!.

Emailed the internet manager my information for the bill of sale earlier today (this was a business transaction), arrived on site, truck sitting in front detailed and ready to roll. Diesel tank full.

Did another once over, let the wife and kids eyeball it for a few, out walks the internet manager. Went inside, signed papers and handed check over. The whole thing was finished in about 15 minutes.

Probably one of the easiest vehicle purchases I've ever made. Dealer was professional the whole time. It helped that all they sell are trucks.

Too much work to do getting stuff from one truck to the other or I would post pics.

Off for a round trip of about 350 miles tomorrow and 250 the next. So much for that first "free" tank of diesel!!!!
