Engine oil cooler, or not?
Also, I was dumb and put a chrome oil pan on the engine 2 years ago when I had to change the pan because it was leaking and rusted out. I now realize that this was a bad move on my part, since chrome holds in heat, not to mention the pan is allready rusting.
I was thinking of an oil radiator that I could mount in front of the radiator, but am unsure of how I would hook that up.
Any help, as always, would be appreciated.
Thanks

If you're talking about the cooler on the bottom of the radiator, that's actually a transmission cooler, not engine oil. On trucks also equipped with an aux tranny cooler, the trans fluid passes thru the radiator cooler and then to the aux unit and back.
Replace that chrome oil pan, and if you're worried, try and get a finned replacement. That will lower the oil temp somewhat. I'd be a little surprised if you really needed an oil cooler, and if you have one and don't need it, it can keep the oil from reaching the proper operating temperature.
