Can someone help?

I have spent the past couple days tearing the 302 out of my '80 F150 Flareside 4x4 for a rebuild. I have a couple questions though that I need to have answered if possible. The heat riser tube that connect to the thermo choke, where exactly does it plug into? The factory Autolite carb is going to have to due for now (My son and wife are more inportant than my toy). I heard that it plugs into the intake and I've heard that it plugs into exhaust manifold. Question #2, on the choke housing itself there is a silver tab, does a wire connect to it and if it does where does it feed from? I checked the forums and have had zero luck for a positive answer.

Answer #1 Exhaust manifold, passenger side. Close to #4 cylinder.

Answer #2 Yes, a wire connects to the silver tab below your choke housing. It feeds from an auxillary (sp) source or fuse 7 1/2 amps. I'm sure the wire is tucked behind your engine somewhere.

Hope this help, Good Luck !!!
