92 Explorer Transmission A4LD
this explorer will go into drive, but when you put it into reverse it still wants to go forward. Is this a possible fixable problem or do i need to get a new or rebuilt transmission.

Sounds like a valve body problem, get YOUR tranny rebuilt. When you get a rebuilt transmission, you don't know why it was rebuilt or what was replaced. You basically get a mystery box. If you find a reputable shop, they can do a better job than any off the shop rebuilt. And for not much more, they can install stuff like the Transgo wake up kits, and the various other stuff that makes the tranny stronger and more reliable. Of if you are keen on getting a rebuilt trans, these guys sell the whole thing ready to swap in and pre upgraded.
