I just bought a water injection pump and am trying to find out what exactly I have. I don't know what year it is or what it's from. There are 3 sets of numbers on the side. top number is 78GG 13K 082-CA, 058 APE 12V, 0392 003 450. Any help would be appreciated. I called the Ford dealership and he said he had nothing on any of the numbers
I didn't know that Ford had water injection pumps. What is it for and where does it pump the water to? I can't imagine injecting water into the cylinders so it must be for emission control, right?
I have no idea what it's for. All I know is it is a "FORD" product complete with all the numbers and "FORD STAMP". That's why I'm asking if anybody has any idea what it's for. Is there any place you can look up ford numbers?
ummmm, as far as i know ford never used water injection, on anything. does it have 8 outlets around in a circle? almost look like a distributor? if so its a power stroke fuel injection pump. or does it have one inlet and one outlet? if so it's probably an air injection pump to feed fresh o2 to the cat, which i dought will pump water. If you could post pictures or atleast describe it we could be of much more help you, a ford water injection pump does not help us, as there is no such thing.
Is this thing vee belt or serp belt driven? Is it a 12v pump? Some larger trucks have small pumps to spray water on the front of the radiator, could it be for that?
