Chip advise
Hey guys,
I am new to this board I am normally on the 97 7.3 f-350 board always reading because I have a 97 f-350 that is all built up with 5" stacks, 3" downpipe, intake, dp tuner chip, all suggestions from the board members, but anyways the question I have is my dad drives a 06 ford E-350 6.0 quigley 4x4. He already has gauges but thats it, I know all the in's and out's of the 7.3, but do not know anything about the 6.0 for the most part. He has been hounding me for a chip for a few weeks now but I dont know what to get him, for what he has what would be the best chip/tuner to get for him, and where to get it. Leave it stock unless he has done the potential preventative stuff prior to the chip, ie: studs. From what I have read here it seems to be the culprit on some costly issues. Not for sure as the guys with chips will argue otherwise, but unless he has really deep pockets stay stock. This is just from my research and feed back I have seen on this site and a few others. Or you may get lucky and have no problems of any kind, it's your choice to chance it or not.
