Question Help! Dead Battery?Starter?

Ok, I have a 2002 F-150 S-Crew,4WD, FX package, 5.4L. Yesterday it started & ran fine, but I left the cooler plugged into the accessory outlet. Today I went to start it & NOTHING. not even the tell-tell click of the solenoid. The battery is charged, & when we crossed the solenoid, it started right up. Any ideas anyone?
Ok, New problem-we disconnected the battery for about 30 minutes, now when we try to reconnect it, the horn blows, long & steady.

If the horn is still stuck I'd pull the wire going to it (you have two horns up front). Give it a little time and plug it back in. As far as the other problem, is it still doing it?

Re: Dead battery

It seems that in the process of hooking the battery back up, the security system was activated. Got that problem taken care of but it still wouldn't start by the key, so we took it to the Ford House. They think the remote start they put on might be causing the problem. If so, they will be fixing it or else, lol!

Problem resolved...Kinda. They by-passed the remote start, they said a relay on it was blown. And of course, they don't use that remote start unit anymore, so they couldn't get the part. That's the story anyway.
