Today, I joined the club of broken EGR pipes. On my 1996 F250 4x4 today with the 5.8, I was able to loosen the nut at the bottom of my EGR valve, I was thankful I did not strip the threads of my EGR valve. After the nut was removed, the top half of the tube broke off with the collar.

It appears NAPA has the 598101 with the heat shield, I will probably have to hold the pipe itself inside and see if it will seem to fit. I'm seeing mixed online reviews about fitting, of the new EGR line tubes out of the box

Ordered one of these last week. Should be here today... Using 5.8 headers on my 331 stroker and trying to keep the EGR. We'll see how well it works...
