The 390 is a hoss. I had one in a 66 Galaxie. Not a bad motor, good power can be had in the low end. It was in Ford Pickups in the same era. It is the same block as the 352 and 360 Engines. The problem would be finding a transmission to connect to it. It's in the FE family I believe.
what year is your bronco? If you have a four speed you will only need a bellhousing, the 390 shares engine mount perches with the 300 six if I am not mistaken. I don't think it would be a terribly difficult swap in a 78 or 79 but might be trouble in something newer.
