Anyone ever wonder were wd40 gets it name? I have heard a couple of things about it like it was the 40th recipe or something like that. Anyone know the truth?

I know people use it for the wrong reasons automotively.
It is not a lubricant. It is more of a solvent.
Use white lithium greare on door hinges instead of WD40. WD40 will remove what little gease is there and then help start rust build up.

Welding shop in general, can't be beat....should be an air freshener shaped like a tree with that scent!!!
