How much is too much?

1989 F-250, 95-amp alternator...

So far: fog lights, aux reverse lights, 600W amp with head unit and auxiliary input for ipod, alarm/power door lock aftermarket kit, cheapo airhorn, aftermarket trailer wiring kit, and probably some other things I'm forgetting.

Question: When does it get to the point of ridiculousness with adding electronics to an old truck? I hate splicing into factory harnesses, but sometimes it has to be done. I'm thinking of adding a radar detector with the front-mount sensor, a cb radio, and some other small doodads here and there. Has anybody added this much stuff to their truck? And I hate seeing used trucks that have had their electricals butchered, and I wonder what someone would think if they saw my truck at this point...

Why should you give a damn what anyone else thinks?? It's your truck and if whatever you do to it is something YOU want, go for it!!!!!

eventually it will start to be to much for your electrical system. As upgrade will be needed and soon it sounds.

I don't think there is such a thing as too much. There is such a thing as a cluster f***. As long as it looks clean and isn't a fire hazzard then your good to go with whatever you want. It's best to try to plan out what you want before hacking away. or at least knowing what you want to add later.

There will come a point where your electrical will need to be upgraded.
