What is this for???

This was one of the extra parts I got when I purchased my 56. I am wondering if this extra hole is for a PTO or transfer case shifter. It looks like a factory job. Any thoughts? Anybody looking for one?

I'm guessing an emergency brake lever on a larger 4 speed. Is yours an F-100 or maybe that came out of another truck.

Yeah, I have a F100. Since it was one of many extra parts, I am sure it came off another truck.

it's for the e brake on a truck equipped with the heavy 4 gear . the emergency brake was like on straight trucks now , it was a drum on the back of the tranny that locked the truck in place by keeping the tranny locked . so the whole handle and assembly was right there on the right side and the handle came up throught there .
