Smile What a day !

Today I took the '49 to it's first car show since it has been finished. There were 137 cars and trucks and the weather was perfect, sunny and 72'.
I won "Best Ford Truck" ! It really made my day.
It was also the first road trip. Drove about 80 miles @ 60-65 mph. Everything was pretty good. Above 60 mph it wanted to wander a little. I think I will add 2 more degrees of camber to see if that will help it track a little better. Gas milage seemed to be about 15 MPG.

Glad to hear that everything went well and you even won. Even though my truck is far from being done, we entered into a local show just for kicks. Got lots of looks and even more questions asked.

The show was the SPJST show in Temple TX. Next week is a show at Don Ringler Chevrolet in Temple. The week after is a show at Corsicana, TX. I don't think I will go to the one next week. I'm going to try to put in the camber shims in the front end. Also have to get over the sun burn. Got to get a canopy or something. It's going to be a hot summer!
