the 4.6 will serve you well until you need to tow a pile. even then she's a motor with a lot of heart, but it'll drink a bit more, and be a little slower than the 5.4. i love my 4.6...
im liking it so far, got a call from my brother the other night. he took his 86 K5 Blazer diggin and got really stuck. Hes got 37's on it and still had mud up to the door sills.
