Looking to see if someone can help me out with gaining some more power and SOUND out of my SuperCrew. I just bought a 2001 Oxford White SuperCrew and I love it. The only thing that I want to do is make it sound mean (like a Mustang 5.0 Cobra) I want people to know when I am coming down the street. Wondering if someone can help me out with where to start and what to buy. Looking to stay in a budget of about $1000.00 - $1500.00...(1st baby to be born in 4 months).....Thanks and look forward to some answers....
I've also been looking for a slightly louder muffler for my S-Crew. I made the mistake of getting a Gibson sideswept (way too quiet). The folks at Gibson say its the fact there are four cats that quiet it prior to the muffler. Anyway, thanks for the K & N and muffler tips. I'm gonna check into those.
All, I purchased the Force II Flowmaster Dual Side Exit for my 2000 Supercab 4X4 5.4L Lariat. The sound is very similar to a stock mustang. The exhaust exits just below the rear bumper at each corner. Superb look and sound. I only put 1,000 miles on the pickup, but I noticed a gas mileage increase of 1-2. I recently traded in the pickup for a 2001 SuperCrew 4X4 5.4L Lariat, but the exhaust was transfered to my new pickup. I installed the system myself in 2 hours (1.5 hours to remove factory and 30 min for new install).
