Sounds like your idler Pulley bearing (probably not the right name) needs replacing. This is the wheel at the top directly under the shroud. Does it squeal on really cold days, at idle or on the highway? I had a similiar problem with my 97, 150 and my buddy has it with his 04.

Its not a squel its more like a bad bearing and it doesn't make any noise at idle only when theres strain on the engine.

Grinny69 did you ever get an answer on your problem. Mine is doing the same thing. it sounds like a bad bearing on a pulley in the front of the motor when its under a load. Any suggestions would be very helpful. thanks

Belt tensioner? Sounds like the belt is being dragged? It's hard to explain, but your belt tensioner might not be tensioning correctly...I've seen it twice before. Do you floor your truck a lot through the gears?
