Sorry for cross posting. I am doing some searches too, but I am stuck at home and need to get to work. I have a 2001 f-250 7.3. Left for work this morning and the truck lost power about 1/2 mile down the road. Felt the same as it did when I blew a fuse on my fuel pump a year ago. Limped home and got it in the driveway. Popped the hood and saw no fuel pressue. (have gauge on the bowl) Turned key one multple times and never built pressure. Checked fuse 19 and 24, both good. Can't hear fuel pump prime. Put test light on red lead on pump and primed motor and did not get it to light up. Started motor and test light did not come one. Any thing to check other than the fuses...is there a relay somewhere? Help!
No not sure if the issue is that far down the line. Initially I believe I'm just not getting spark to the pump. Tracing the lines now to see if there is some kind of break in them.
Yep I did check that out. I pulled the panel off and popped it up and then back down. Leaning towards the fuel pump relay...anyone know where that would be? Sounds like maybe behind the stereo in the dash?
