Non feedback w/kickdown and AOD

Yes, it is very possible, but first you have to consider a few things:
The AOD tranny doesn't use a "kickdown." It has a throttle valve cable or rod on earlier models. You could use an aftermarket carburetor, but if you go with a Holley carburetor for example, it is IMPERATIVE that you use one of these:

If you go with an Edelbrock, they will have their own bracket similar to the one listed above. Remember, it is IMPERATIVE that you have the TV cable pressure set correctly from the carburetor (I had a transmission shop set mine, using a pressure guage) or you will DESTROY your AOD in very short order.
