Not to be offensive in any way and again is my personal preference but the spoke wheel design should have stayed on the rice rockets and bikes.
Yes there also seems to be very little in rim width over 8-9" on a 17" wheel as well

If you go offroad much......the more sidewall the better! When it comes to rocks....sidewalls are your friend! You will trash a rim immediately. If you are mostly highway, go with the tonka look
