Replaced a leaking Cruise Control Release Switch.

Q. Which wire is "hot"? Green with black chase?

Pretty sure this part was the source of a HUGE recall and the updated part had a fuse.

I replaced my non-fused part with a non-fused part from NAPA. Just curious....and don't want my truck to burn up in the driveway!

Thanks guys!

The ones from Ford's Recall Center, have a fuse on both the Hot and Ground wires......I'd STRONGLY advise a fuselink....

they do, its sheet metal more or less, not extravigant but its enough for the piece...

yea, but I would go more along the lines of this...less stress on the body and honestly better looking IMO...

80 - 96 BRONCO / F-SERIES / CENTURION 99 - UP SUPER DUTY / EXCURSION bumper

It's more than sheetmetal in there Jaime.....More like a piece of steel...No way that simple sheet metal can hold the weight of a tire, rack, etc...

It bows from just poking it.....Let along 100lbs....

Not calling you out on that...Just didn't want him to slam one on there, and the first time he swung the tire out, it crinkles the bedside...

that is why I suggested the alternate item...I looked at a bronco in the JY with one and I am just giving you what I could see as I couldn't get the tailgate off to get the tail light housing off so I could explore more...but yea there isn't much on our trucks, least compared to the broncs...now if he really wants to use it and insists he will need to find some sort of way to reenforce the body to hold the extra weight, there for extra work, so either way I recommend clicking the link I provided for a better solution that doesn't ruin the body of our trucks, and heck its for broncos too...

Sorry if I may have confused you Wes, my bad LOL!!

well to get to all that (details I forgot) I woulda had to figure out a way to either lower the glass window from the closed possition (no batteries in cars) and/or bust it out and I was there on a 95+ degree day with direct sun shining on me with no clouds in the sky so I figured screw it LOL...yea, it was the kind with the truck type back I think, and I don't know if the top was able to be removed or how to do that...

The top has little clip type deals...Similar to the vent windows in the trucks....

As for the tailgate, it has a handle, just like a pickup.....Mighta been locked though.....And if so, the lifting the top off idea wouldn't fly...

Are you talking about factory back up lights ? As in the ones that come in the tail lenses or did you put bright aftermarket lights of some kind on? If they are aftermarkets I would like to see pics or know what kind they were as well as where you mounted them?

Jaime , thats a cool tire rack/basket set up!

That sucks JK. I wonder how long it will take them to make a decision and your stuff back? Pulling the motor back out is going to be a PTIA.
