Just finished up a little cosmetics, new front fender and new chrome bumper. Bumber had holes rusted thru it and LH fender was starting to rust thru. Out with the old, bolt on the new...got it painted and on..
looks pretty good.

Still need to put running board back on, after a little fix... the support brace needs a few small holes welded shut and new mounting studs need to be tacked to the underside of step. The RH side support is almost completely rusted off. Next step is making a new step support for the other side.

Re-installed the anti-rattle clips that came loose on the pass side.

Went to a boneyard today and got a tailgate for my Flareside

also got some plastic air vent grilles, a window switch bezel for the driver's door, a bezel for the hvac control panel, a new temp select ****, an XLT molding for the dash, as well as the cushioned pad above the molding that extends over the radio. I was also able to get the left headlamp bezel with a good turn signal lamp.

A very good day !!

Later...

Yours looks sort of like mine. I replaced the bushings with silicon (?) bushings about seven years ago. That was the second time. First time Ford used the Ford rubber parts. They died in two years, so out with the air chisel and away with the old, in with the new. No paint job though...

The first time i changed them i used some black poly's and the ride seemed a lot harsher. Seeing how this is a street driven truck i figured i could skip on the added flex that poly's give and settle for the dampening that rubber gives. Much smoother now with the rubber bushings.

Nice pics, but it looks like your truck is missing a vital component.

Where's the rust that holds everything together?

I've got plenty. I think it's the guys in the midwest, Cali, and deep south who could use some of ours.
