I found it pretty easy to do. Took about 30 minutes.

Sure can! (Moderators, if this is not the right place for this, I apologize.)

The part you need is #38410. I got one from Autozone and one from Advanced Auto. I used a sawsall to cut the factory pins in half as they are riveted in place. Then I used a screwdriver to wedge the cut pins apart and eventually pulled them out. A little tip - spray some wd40 on the pins and let them set. Makes it easier to remove the old pins. The top half of the pins slid out pretty easily, but the bottom ones had to be driven out. I used a piece of 1/8 square mild steel and a hammer.

Once I had the pins out (top and bottom hinge) I removed the door and supported it on jackstands with the help of my son. That way i didn't need to detach all the electrical junk on the door. Then I was able to remove the old bushings from the hinges using a screwdriver and hammer. Be careful as to not bend the hinges when you are hammering on the them. Once you have the old bushings out, clean the hinges and put the new bushings in. They slide in pretty easily if you use a pair of pliers to get them started and light hammer blows to seat them. Then just put the door back and slide the new pins in the hole. Again, light hammer blows were necessary to tonk the pins in. There is a little retaining clip that snaps around the pin to keep it in place.

I didn't want to remove the hinges from the door or the cab as I was afraid that I would never get it lined back up. Now that new pins are in place, the door lines up just right!

Hope that helps.

Ain't that the truth... put whole new hinges in mine from a donor, and I still ain't got it quite right. When I put my new fenders on, I'll take part of the day to tweak it.

Did it involve zombies attacking your truck from all sides? lol

I actually did something today that I've been meaning to do for quite a while now - I built me a carrier that allows me to hang a spare wheel on the 5th wheel hitch that's permanently installed in my bed but that hardly ever sees a 5-er trailer. I just got the spare wheel yesterday actually, and I'm already ready for installing it, just waiting on the paint to dry on the carrier. This brings me up to two spare wheels, one on the front bumper and one of the 5-er hitch, both E-rated so good to go on any corner of the truck.

I guess as long as neither carried a pink M107 or wore a pink kevlar vest then you're fine... And why the heck does it take so long for spray-paint to dry?! I wanna get this thing installed. Argh!

Yeps, I always do, not that it matters if this particular part gets paint runs, but I do hate dealing with rust.
