What have you done to your truck today?
I had been interested in doing this if I ended up with a diesel with an automatic trans give me details on where you located some of the parts
They sold the D60 out an '89 F350 CCLB with a 7.3, so the transmission and the transfer case were available after I shot one of them a text asking if they had anything.
I got lucky enough to be able to get everything from a single truck that I was wanting; piecing it together would have been a bit of a pain.
A couple of caveats are that you should absolutely renew the clutch fork, and a new throwout bearing is a no-brainer.
The LuK SMF clutch kit is great, and the flywheel noise isn't really all that bad. I mean, it's a truck, not a highly refined sports car.
I ordered a LuK pre-bled master/slave clutch set from Amazon.
That's pretty much it on that. For the trans, tcase, and driveshaft, try to find it all together off a donor truck that's the same wheelbase as yours.

On an unrelated note, I picked up a new center support bearing from Ford for close to $200... but peace of mind with an OEM unit outweighs being cheap and using the $18 unit from a local parts store. Do I think I paid far too much for it? Yeah, but sometimes you just gotta bite the bullet when you're in a pinch and need your rig working again.
A local shop pressed the old bearing off and pressed the new one on for me for $20; our press up at the shop is kinda precarious to use, so I figured I'd let someone else do it this time.
Now I just need to crawl under the truck and get it back together after I regrease the splines.
96 300 rebuild
Cam gear broke so I pulled it. first time ever and by myself in the garage with the hood on. Imagine a 6yr old parallel parking. I do things the hard way.
Ihad it checked out, no re-bore needed.
Now I just put the bearings in and looking for my book so I don't screw nothing up.

I repaired the folding table in my camperette today and cleaned up the camperette interior. I also installed Phillips LED's in the backup lights (I don't remember the number at the moment) but they SUCK so I'm putting the original bulbs back in tomorrow.
The Phillips bulb number is 3156ULWX2. They don't work well on our trucks probably because our reflectors. The bulbs don't have any LED's facing the rear of the truck. They shine out from the sides. I get more useable light from my brake lights.

Wish I had found this forum a year ago, I am coming close to the end of what have I done to my truck today...
My son gave me his nice pioneer deck out his 01 Lariet for me to install in my 88 I have been rebuilding.
fyi I removed the factory angle brackets from Ford deck and riveted them onto new deck and install worked out good.
Hey I got blue tooth in the old truck and some decent tunes.

I painted my rear door panels last night using SEM color coat, after hitting it with the adhesion promoter.
I filled in the holes with epoxy, but even sanding it down removed the texture, so you can still see where the holes were... but it'll be harder to tell with the new color.
The end result is a nice tri-tone that I really like, so I'll be picking up more paint to do the rest of my interior and picking up some black carpet.
